Thousands of families are living paycheque to paycheque, living in substandard, overcrowded, and overpriced living conditions, with no prospect of an escape from the poverty rental cycle. Housing in Prince Edward Island is at a crisis point and too many hard-working families, often teachers and front-line workers, are having to make the choice between food and rent.

At Habitat PEI, we mobilize volunteers and community partners, to help families build strength, stability, and independence through affordable housing.

Over the next two years Habitat will complete six homes. On average each home will house 8 families over its lifetime. This translates to 608 families and over 1500 children whose lives will be positively impacted.

Through our Capital Campaign, we aim to raise $100,000 over the next year to accommodate our ambitious building plans. We need your help to us achieve our mission and frame the future for hard-working and dedicated members of our community.
