Kin Canada bursaries awards $1000 bursaries to Canadian students who demonstrate community involvement and financial need. The recipients are able to decide how to spend the money according to their needs, but the typical uses are for: assisting with tuition, buying books and supplies and assisting with transportation to school.
Text books are required for most classes, but a textbook costs on average costs $150, leaving it difficult for a student to purchase all their required books.
