Mission: To provide legal services to persons living with HIV/AIDS in Ontario that are relevant to their well-being and that enable them to participate fully in the communities in which they live.
About HALCO - HIV & AIDS LEGAL CLINIC ONTARIO
The HIV & AIDS Legal Clinic Ontario (HALCO) provides free legal services to people living with HIV in the province of Ontario. We are a registered charity. Donations allow us to meet the ongoing and increasing need for direct legal services.
HALCO is the only community-based legal clinic in Canada providing free legal services for low-income people living with HIV. Our staff practice a broad range of law, including human rights, income maintenance, tenancy and immigration. In addition, we engage in public legal education activities across Ontario, and are involved in a variety of law reform and community development activities. HALCO produces publications including a newsletter, guides and information sheets. Our website includes legal information on many topics.
