HPOAF helps pet-owners afford non-routine veterinary care so that the animal's life is not taken prematurely solely for financial reasons.
We love our pets. We feed them, exercise them, play with them, spay or neuter them and do everything we can to keep them healthy. After all, they're important members of our families.
Unfortunately, sometimes things happen to our precious pets that we are unprepared for financially. They might be hit by a car or they might ingest something poisonous or they might contract a serious disease.
When pet owners in Haliburton County cannot afford the costs of necessary emergency, critical and/or specialty non-routine veterinary intervention or medications, the Haliburton Pet Owners' Assistance Fund (HPOAF) may be able to help.
Our goal is to help lower-income pet owners in Haliburton County afford non-routine veterinary treatment for their pets.
