McMaster Children’s Hospital is home to the only Pediatric Cancer Program in south-central Ontario and cares for more than 900 cancer patients annually.

There is nothing simple or straightforward about childhood cancer. Because it strikes when a child is growing, the treatments have a profound effect. So at the start of this lifelong journey, the care and treatment they receive must be effective and efficient. The environment also needs to be comfortable and warm.

To help enhance the patient experience, we are fundraising to renovate the third-floor Oncology Clinic at McMaster Children’s Hospital. This initiative was inspired by feedback from patients, families and staff.

Campaign proceeds will revamp the Clinic and create an innovative and welcoming environment specifically designed for their needs, with separate spaces for younger children and teens. To provide our world-class care teams with a safer and more efficient environment, the in-house pharmacy will also be upgraded as part of the renovation. This will help improve the delivery of chemotherapy for patients.

We are excited that our donors will be supporting the more than 900 pediatric patients who receive ongoing cancer treatment in this clinic each year.
