About HAMILTON NATURALISTS' CLUB
The Hamilton Naturalists’ Club (HNC) is a volunteer-led, non-profit organization with 400 members. For over a century, HNC has connected people with nature through education, appreciation, and hands-on conservation, protecting natural areas, fostering ecological understanding, and advocating for environmental stewardship.
We engage the public in the study and appreciation of local wildlife, habitats, and ecosystems through accessible programs, guided walks, citizen science initiatives, and educational workshops for all ages and backgrounds. These experiences inspire residents to view themselves as active stewards of the land and advocates for the protection of biodiversity.
Working collaboratively with municipal, provincial, and community partners, HNC advances science-based conservation, restoration, and environmental policy across urban and rural landscapes. By cultivating a culture of environmental appreciation and responsibility, HNC empowers individuals and communities to make meaningful action in conserving our shared natural heritage for present and future generations.
