Our Mission

Happy Cat Sanctuary was founded in 2003 to address the issue of stray, abandoned, and feral cats & kittens living within Strathmore, Alberta and its surrounding communities. Our primary goals are as follows:

To rescue stray and abandoned cats and kittens - we have received cats found by caring citizens, rescued some that have wandered onto farms, trapped strays living under abandoned houses and businesses.

Provide them with necessary veterinary care such as spay/neuter, identification (tattoos, ear tipping), vaccinations etc.

Rehabilitate these cats and kittens in order to prepare them to be adopted into loving homes; giving these souls a second chance.

Trap, neuter/spay, release back on the street Feral (wild) cats and provide long term care and feeding.

The greatest benefit to the public is they now have a place to call for help,for many people they just love cats and hate to see them without all the necessities of life. We are one cat at a time, stopping this. Thank you for your donation, it is so appreciated by the cats!

The Happy Cat Sanctuary is a no-kill cat rescue based in Strathmore, Alberta, Canada. We are a small group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating stray and abandoned cats from Strathmore and the surrounding communities.
