About Harbour House
Harbour House is a shelter for women and children survivors of domestic violence We have been serving our community for over twenty-five years. These services include the provision of safe, transitional housing for women and children fleeing abuse, a twenty-four hour support/distress telephone line, public education, women’s and children’s groups (both in house and outreach),and individual counselling sessions (both in house and outreach). At Harbour House, we believe that domestic violence extends far beyond the individual family unit and has negative, long term social and economic consequences for the community as a whole. This is why it so important to end violence against women and children by stopping the cycle of abuse.
