Harbour Lights COVID-19 Fund for Food Banks
The mission of The Harbour Lights Campaign Inc. is to coordinate fundraising for 15 food banks in Southwestern New Brunswick on an annual basis and to disperse the funds raised to those food banks.
Our annual fundraiser for our food bank partners takes place each December.
The funds from the campaign are used by food banks in the region to supplement the food supplies they distribute to those in need for many months each year. If you have ever donated to Harbour Lights, we, and they, thank you.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 crisis is impacting our region and the demand for support from our Harbour Lights food bank partners has increased.
Our Board has decided to run a special “Harbour Lights COVID-19 Fund” to help our food banks during this crisis.
Unlike our usual campaign, we won’t have a tree at Port Saint John to mark the progress of the Campaign, and we won’t be travelling with CBC to the communities we fundraiser for, because, like you, were are staying safe at home.
We will use or Canada Helps page to collect online donations for the food banks, and the entire Harbour Lights COVID-19 Campaign will be virtual, and shared, hopefully, by you.
While many of us are safe at home, with the resources we need. Many others are struggling. If you can help, please consider donating by visiting our Canada Helps Harbour Lights COVID-19 Fund via this link.
And please share so others are aware of how they can help.Thank you for your ongoing support as we do what we can to help others.
