"Extending a Hand Up, Not a Hand Out"
About HARVEST PROJECT (Change the World Foundation)
Harvest Project is a community-based urban relief organization and registered charity that "extends a hand up, not a hand out" to those in need on Metro-Vancouver's North Shore. We serve hundreds of families each month - hosting one-on-one client-care coaching appointments, grocery and clothing support programs, a rent bank, emergency drop-in visits, and Clothes for Change thrift shop.
For 26 years, Harvest Project has reached out to individuals and families from Deep Cove to Horseshoe Bay to help each one cope with serious life crises such as family break-ups, illness, job loss, and health challenges. Our vision is to enlarge our work as a compassionate presence for North Shore residents, by North Shore residents. We’re working to help our community become the most inclusive, healthy and diverse small city in Canada, for all residents.
Harvest Project was founded on the core elements of dignity, respect and accountability. The heart of our mission is the Christian responsibility to love our neighbours and care for those experiencing loss or who are in need.
