The Hastings Prince Edward Land Trust is a community-based charity working to protect the natural places that make our region special. Together with landowners, donors, volunteers and community partners, we permanently protect forests, wetlands, shorelines and wildlife habitat across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.
These natural places support biodiversity, store carbon, help reduce the impacts of climate change, and sustain the clean air, fresh water and healthy ecosystems our communities depend on.
Since 1998, HPELT has protected more than 2,500 acres of land, safeguarding important habitat for species at risk and creating a lasting legacy of nature for people, wildlife and future generations.
