Our Mission

Canadians and Zimbabweans working together to create sustainable solutions to issues of poverty, social support, health care, education and infrastructure development in local communities.

We believe it is our task to listen to the needs, cultural contexts and sensitivities of Zimbabweans and the facilitate a practical, sustainable response.

Our mission is to raise financial support in Canada to provide relief of poverty through the provision of basic needs in Zimbabwe. Hear Africa will undertake specific and practical activities including, but not limited to, the procurement and shipment of clothing, medical supplies, and education materials.

Finally, we believe that we must work with the people of Zimbabwe to ascertain and respond to specific humanitarian needs through the provision of material with continuing view to developing local sustainability. We believe that relief of poverty will occur with sustainable and humanitarian infrastructure investments such as repairs to schools or provision of agriculture products.

The Hear Africa Foundation exists to connect the humanitarian spirit of Canadians and the needs of the people of Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe today is a country with immediate needs and long term sustainable investment requirements.

The founders of Hear Africa are linked through friendship, family and common goals to the country of Zimbabwe and seek to work collaboratively with the people of Zimbabwe.

The Hear Africa Foundation bases its philosophy on a traditional humanitarian spirit and aligns itself with the UN Millennium Goals and seeks to participate in a small way in the success of those goals within Zimbabwe.
