Heart & Grace Co. is a Canadian charity dedicated to supporting individuals and communities through life’s transitions—especially during moments when life feels uncertain, overwhelming, or unfamiliar.

Founded by Shelley Steele, the charity’s roots trace back to Heartspeak, established in 2007 to amplify learning drawn from lived experience. Through hundreds of short-form documentaries and storytelling initiatives, Heartspeak contributors shared insights on themes such as mental health, equity and inclusion, Indigenous reconciliation, anti-racism, disability, LGBTQ+ and gender diversity, leadership, and belonging. These lived experiences informed the development of practical social and emotional learning tools that help individuals, schools, workplaces, and families build greater understanding, empathy, and relational capacity.

On October 14, 2025, the charity formally changed its name to Heart & Grace Co. to reflect an expanded and integrated focus. Today, the organization offers mentoring- and coaching-based support that helps people regain steadiness, confidence, and a sense of agency as they navigate change. Through compassionate guidance and relational practices, Heart & Grace Co. works to strengthen inner resilience and collective wellbeing—one person, one conversation, and one moment at a time.
