About Helping Hands Street Mission
With the help of dedicated volunteers we provide free clothing,bedding,shoes,hygiene products, refreshments, bibles & Christian literature to individuals and families in need in Hamilton.
We also have a variety of support programs:
Jimmys place, a support group for men, Monday's from 7pm - 9pm.
A Place for Grace, a street outreach program for women in the sex trade, Wednesdays at 9pm.
Mamas place, a support group for women, Thursdays from 11am - 2pm.
CHIPP (Community Health Illness Prevention Program), Fridays from 1:30pm - 2:30pm.
Barton Cafe-free coffee and dessert house Friday evenings from 7pm - 9pm.
Barton Barber, a free hair salon offering full service hair cuts, 1 Monday per month from 9:30am until 1:00pm.
Lunch Nook, a delicious community lunch is brought in by a group of volunteers 1 Sunday a month, from 1pm until 2:30pm.
Our store is located at 349 Barton Street E. and is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1 - 4 pm, and on Saturdays from 10 am - 1 pm. At the same time, we have our cafe side open where friends can come and enjoy a treat and a cup of coffee, while socializing with friends.
