Heron Hospice Society of Delta, a registered charity, partners with the healthcare system to offer free, compassionate care for loss, grief, and bereavement, guiding individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging moments.

Our range of services includes individual counseling sessions with professional counselors who provide a safe, personalized setting for clients to process their emotions. This one-on-one support is tailored to meet each person’s needs, building resilience and coping strategies to navigate the complexities of grief and loss.

We also offer a variety of support programs designed to create community and connection, such as:

Grief Support Groups: These group sessions bring together individuals experiencing similar challenges, fostering community, mutual understanding, and support. Specialized groups, such as the Traumatic Grief Group, are also available to address specific types of loss.

Mindfulness and Relaxation Workshops: These sessions introduce techniques for managing stress and finding calm, with guided meditation to support healing and emotional well-being during difficult times.

Community Connection Programs: Regular programs like Coffee and Connections, as well as yoga and walking groups, offer a welcoming space for people to connect, share experiences, and build friendships, helping them feel supported and less alone.
