Cyclone Mocha hits Bangladesh

Cyclone Mocha has hit Bangladesh and Myanmar with very high intensity. Heavy rains and winds of up to 260 km/h follow it. These winds can cause major damage in camps where makeshift shelters are made of bamboo and tarpaulins.

Until the last moment, Humanity & Inclusion (HI) teams have been helping people in the camps to get to safer places, even though the paths are steep, muddy and slippery in the rain. They are very concerned, especially for the one million people living in the overcrowded and precarious Cox's Bazar camp. This is one of the largest refugee camps in the world. More than half of the people there are children and 12% are disabled people.

HI is currently assessing the needs of the affected populations in order to prepare an emergency response in the affected areas. We will ensure that the most vulnerable are not forgotten and that they continue to have access to the necessary aid, but this is only possible with your support! We are calling on you today to help our teams provide those who need it most, especially disabled people, with psychological support and essential goods for their survival.

Every donation counts and can make a real difference in the lives of thoseaffected by this disaster of unprecedented proportions.

Thank you so much,
