Pakistan Emergency

In Pakistan, Humanity & Inclusion (HI) is committed to the most vulnerable.

As the world turns the page on a summer marked by devastating climate change, Pakistan is ravaged by torrential rains. The monsoon has caused flooding and landslides. A third of the country is under water.

It is the most important disaster ever experienced by the country. "Floods of this magnitude are unprecedented in Pakistan and require an immediate emergency response. We are seeing families who have lost absolutely everything and are living under water", says Caroline Duconseille, HI's program director in Pakistan.

More than 1,000 people have already died, including more than 300 children. More than 30 million people are affected by the floods, without shelter, food or drinking water.

The toll today is disastrous. It will be even more so tomorrow with the risk of epidemics, notably cholera and COVID. Humanity & Inclusion has been present in Pakistan since the early 1980s and has mobilized its teams already on the ground. Initially, the association will provide food aid and hygiene kits.

Given the urgency of the situation, as you can imagine, the resources to be deployed are considerable. Your help is crucial.

With $35, you offer a hygiene kit to a family. Composed of soaps, towels, washing powder... it allows 5 people to apply, during 1 month, the hygiene rules essential to the fight against epidemics.

With $65, you also allow the distribution of a kitchen kit for a family of 5 people.

With $135, you contribute to the distribution of a food kit to provide for one person for a month.

We know your generosity and we know we can count on you. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. All Humanity & Inclusion teams in Pakistan and around the world.
