To provide a comfortable setting in nature where, regardless of race, religion, national origin, ability or financial situation, all people who would seek time apart from the high demands of a fast-paced and pressure-filled society can come to relax, reflect and refresh. We care about the development of the whole person - physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
About HIDDEN ACRES MENNONITE CAMP & RETREAT CENTRE
Hidden Acres is located in the rolling farmlands of Perth County not far from the urban centres in Southwestern Ontario. The camp began in 1962 when a local group of Mennonites shared the vision of bringing children out of the city and into nature to experience a week of camping. The original camps have evolved into a residential summer camp program that includes several week-long, co-ed children's camps, basketball camps, 2 camps for low-income single mom's and their children, and a counsellor in training program. Our facilities have expanded from the original stone house and canvas tents into a retreat lodge built in 1974 around the century-old farmhouse, 11 cabins, 2 picnic shelters, a sports court, 2 beach volleyball courts, a climbing wall, a spring-fed swimming pond, nature centre and trails. Hidden Acres is also used year-round by schools, community groups, businesses, churches, families and other groups for outdoor education, retreats, workshops, reunions, etc.
