HIPPY Halton has gone virtual!
We are concerned about the mental health, isolation and stress of our 156 families who are coping with the effects of the social isolation. The 3, 4 and 5 year old children we work with will not understand why they cannot go out and our families will not have weekly Home Visits.
In order to support our families, we are delivering our curriculum via social media and the Internet. Our families' connectivity will determine the platform.
We used our March Break to deliver books and materials and to learn how to teach on Zoom, Whats App, FaceTime and over the phone.
This type of delivery is going to take longer so we expecting a substantial increase in the number of staff hours.
