Hope for Kids was created to lend a helping hand to families in the Bow Valley that have a child with a chronic health condition. We provide financial support in the forms of grocery gift cards, ready to eat meals, gas cards for travel to and from the Alberta Children's Hospital, parking fee's, hotel or Ronald McDonald House accommodation as needed when the child is receiving treatment at the hospital and care packages consisting of basic essentials. We also host a monthly meet-up / support group for children and their parents, siblings and guardians where we provide an evening meal, in a safe environment where the kids can play and the adults can connect. We also have a large therapy / toy lending library that includes lots of therapy items such as compression vests, balance beams, wiggle seats, body socks, books to celebrate our differences as well as many more items that are typically a big expense for a family to buy.
