About Horizons for Youth
Horizons for Youth is a shelter for at-risk and homeless youth between the ages of 16-24 in Toronto. We provide youth with the support they need to escape from the cycle of poverty and leave the streets behind.
Horizons for Youth provides emergency accommodations and support programs for up to 45 youth each day. For more than 20 years, we have worked tirelessly to meet the diverse needs of the more than 600 homeless youth we support annually. Horizons for Youth offers 24 hour intake services, 365 days a year, to ensure that young people in need of a safe place to stay can access one at all times. In addition to providing shelter and other basic needs, our agency offers a variety of programs related to employment, education, mental health, housing and life skills development. Horizons for Youth was incorporated in 1990 and we opened our shelter doors in 1994.

Horizons for Youth's mission is to shelter, prepare and guide homeless and at-risk youth to achieve wellness and become contributing community members.
