Hospice of Waterloo Region is a registered charity providing volunteer supports, professional services and palliative education to residents of Waterloo Region. Our programs serve those who are ill, their families and caregivers, and anyon who is grieving a loss. We also provide community education and speciality training for those who are working in palliative care.
We journey with those who are experiencing end of life. Our volunteers are carefully selected and trainned to be able to support the unique needs of each individual.Volunteers provide respite care and enrich people’s lives by sharing their gifts of listening, caring, friendship, love, humour, and support. Our professional staff are experienced in offering counselling and support groups to help individuals and their families.
Our services are no charge and offered in home, in hospital, in long term care and residential hospice.
Hospice care is about hope, dignity and quality of life.
