House of Compassion provides permanent supportive housing in a community-based setting for 21 men and women living with severe and persistent mental illness.
We do this by addressing challenges, offering individualized support, and building connections among affected community members.
The 24-hour support provided by our staff enables our residents to live with dignity, respect and hope.
House of Compassion provides a congregate living program where each resident has their own bedroom and shares living areas, washroom facilities and a spacious garden.
Our clients are inspired to lead healthy and empowered lives.
- Housing is a right: We believe our clients have the right to safe and affordable housing.
- Client Choice: We believe that clients have the right to be heard, informed and supported in achieving their goals.
- Respect and Dignity: We believe every person must be met with compassion, and treated with respect and dignity.
- Collaboration: We believe each of us is enriched when we are able to work in collaboration to achieve shared goals.
