The House of Healing Church of Cape Breton is committed to community outreach, and we have served the community, and surrounding area, regularly through our volunteer food bank as well as through other various annual events.
We have served approximately 8000 people at our food bank since we opened in 2017, and many have since come to volunteer their time in an effort to give back. We made the decision not to shut down our volunteer food bank during the covid lockdowns, but made adjustments in our approach for safety and comfort for all. We have continued to serve the community with food and with relationship to those who are struggling on an ongoing basis. Our programs are are run by volunteers and funded by our church members.
