We are reaching out to our community to ask for support with the new permanent home for ourfood bank in Mountain. As you may know, our facility in South Mountain was tragicallyl ost in a fire. Thanks to the incredible generosity and swift action of our community andpartners, we were able to re-establish our food bank operations quickly. However, the need for a permanent solution became increasingly evident. We are excited to sharethat the rebuild has commenced at our new location on Ronson Road in Mountain,Ontario, just kitty-corner to our HOL Boutique and Mountain Treasures stores on Simms Street.

We are calling on the generosity of individuals and businesses in our community to help us raise the necessary funds to complete the new building. Your support will ensure that we continue providing food security, warmth, and hope to those who need it most. Every donation, no matter the amount, will bring us one step closer to securing a long-term space for our essential services.

In the past six months, House of Lazarus has addressed food insecurity by feeding over 820 people through our food banks, distributing over 5000 bags of food to students to eat over the weekends and providing over 6000 community meals. We addressing housing insecurity in several ways. HOL provides housing for three familiesat rent-gear-to income housing units. Our Community Hub and Warming Centre had over 800 visits in the past 6 months and provided a safe haven for 38 people who are experiencing homelessness. At the House of Lazarus, our mission is simple yet powerful: Building Community...Sharing Hope. Our vision is to be a first-stop community hub that coordinates supportand provides resources to those in need. By supporting this initiative, you are directly contributing to that mission, helping us create a space where no one in our community goes hungry and where compassion thrives.
