Our Mission

The House of Refuge Mission is an Christian based independently run inner city Gospel Mission located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Our focus is to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ and through our faith provide food and assistance for people who are suffering in many ways.

About HOUSE OF REFUGE MISSION

We are located at 10339-95 Street in Edmonton’s inner City. The House of Refuge Mission is a Christian ministry open 365 days of the year and serves some of the most needy people in our city. The Mission has no paid staff as it’s run by entirely by volunteers, almost all money received goes directly towards the operational costs and programs. The Mission opens for snacks and coffee at 5 p.m. every day and the evening meal is served at 8 p.m. usually consisting of soup and sandwiches. More than 400 meals are served weekly. No one is turned away from the House of Refuge Mission being intoxicated, under the influence of drugs or mentally ill. Care packages of food are freely given to people upon request. . A Gospel evening service is held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. with different volunteer Ministers and Musicians every day. The House of Refuge Mission provides a place of Christian prayer and worship where people can feel accepted just as they are.
