Established in 1986, the Halifax & Region Military Family Resource Centre (H&R MFRC) is a charitable organization, governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Our mission is to strengthen the well-being of all those who share the unique experience of military life.
We serve military families in the Halifax Regional Municipality, Shearwater, Central and Northern Nova Scotia and Cape Breton, with service sites in Halifax and Shearwater.
Funds raised support our mental health initiatives, short-term accommodations, community pantry, financial support resources, Emergency Relief Support, occasional and respite child care service and so much more.
