Among us here in Norfolk County are thousands of temporary migrant farm workers who work our fields to provide much needed help for the vegetable and fruit farmers in Southern Ontario and much of the food each of us has on our tables at every meal. Huron Farmworkers Ministry tends to the needs of the migrant farmworkers ranging from providing good used clothing, toiletries, information regarding health care etc. and translation services, to name just a few.
We understand the challenges faced by migrant farmworkers, including language barriers, cultural differences, discrimination, and limited access to resources. Our ministry aims to address these challenges and create a welcoming and inclusive environment for the workers.
