ISRAEL AID
This is a special fund that provides us an opportunity to assist the multiple aid projects that ICEJ Canada supports in Israel.
For example, in April we help to provide "holiday" baskets of food for Passover that are delivered by the staff at ICEJ to those who are in real need. Especially to Holocaust Survivors, single mothers and newly arrived Olim.
Often we top up the funds needed for one of our projects such as The Red Carpet project where we support the staff at the centre to care for marginalized women. Some of the women are living on the streets of Tel Aviv, others have escaped sex trafficing, many stuggle with addiction. This is such a great outreach project!
Another example would be when Israel is under attack and there is an immediate need, the Israel Aid funds are used to meet that need by topping up our emergency and crisis projects.
