L’Élan CALACS is an autonomous feminist community organization founded in the Laurentides region in 2001, by and for the women of our community.
For more than 25 years, we have provided a free, confidential, and safe space for women and girls aged 12 and older who have experienced sexual violence in the MRC des Laurentides and the MRC d’Antoine-Labelle.
Our mission is built on three pillars:
Support To support women and adolescent girls who have experienced sexual assault, as well as their loved ones, by helping them reclaim their power and agency.
Prevention To raise awareness and educate the public about issues related to sexual assault, violence against women, and gender equality.
Advocacy and Action To contribute to social change through public awareness activities, collaboration with community partners, and the promotion and defense of collective rights.
