As a partner in the worldwide Anglican Communion and in the universal church, we proclaim and celebrate the gospel of Jesus Christ in worship and action.
We value our heritage of biblical faith, reason, liturgy, tradition, bishops and synods, and the rich variety of our life in community.
We acknowledge that God is calling us to a greater diversity of membership, wider participation in ministry and leadership, better stewardship in God's creation and a strong resolve in challenging attitudes and structures that cause injustice.
Guided by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to respond to this call in love and service and so more fully live the life in Christ.
About The General Synod of The Anglican Church of Canada
The Anglican Church of Canada consists of almost three thousand local congregations which gather for worship and learning, and extend the mission of God's kingdom by addressing the spiritual and material needs of their communities. Gathered into thirty dioceses by region, congregations share in diocesan, national, and world-wide mission. The General Synod is the national body responsible especially for work overseas and in Canada's north, in addition to other key elements of Anglican identity, worship and service. Through Giving with Grace, many vital ministries are able to celebrate the gospel, nurture leaders, engage youth, help the poor, build a better world, and care for the earth.
