More Clinics. More Doctors. More Access to Healthcare.
SUPPORT SOUTH VANCOUVER ISLAND’S HEALTHCARE TRANSFORMATION
Together, we are changing the future of primary care on South Vancouver Island.
In just over two years, the South Island Primary Care Society (SIPCS) has demonstrated what is possible when communities, healthcare professionals, municipalities, and generous donors come together to address the primary care crisis.
What began as a commitment to improve access to family doctors has grown into a community-driven healthcare movement, bringing new physicians to our region, preventing clinic closures, opening new healthcare facilities, and connecting thousands of residents with the care they deserve.
Our Impact: Building a Healthier South Island
Our achievements as of 2026 include:
-
50+ physicians now contributing to our growing network of primary care services.
-
7 clinic locations established or supported across South Vancouver Island, expanding access to care closer to home.
-
60,000+ patients connected to longitudinal primary care over the past year.
-
6,000+ expectant parents supported through maternity care, based on previously reported activity.
-
Expanded access to nurse practitioners, maternity services, pediatric care, and community-based urgent care, supporting patients at every stage of life.
From Langford and Colwood to View Royal, Saanich, Victoria, and Metchosin, we are building a stronger, more accessible primary care system.
Our Work Is Far From Over
Despite this extraordinary progress, tens of thousands of residents across South Vancouver Island continue to face barriers to accessing a family doctor or nurse practitioner.
For families, seniors, children, and individuals managing chronic health conditions, the absence of consistent primary care can mean delayed diagnoses, untreated health concerns, and unnecessary reliance on emergency departments.
We believe that access to primary care should not depend on where you live, your financial circumstances, or how long you have been waiting.
Our mission is simple: Ensure every resident has access to timely, comprehensive, community-based healthcare, close to home.
We are continuing to recruit physicians and nurse practitioners, expand existing clinics, establish new healthcare facilities, and develop innovative models of care that respond directly to community needs.
Why Your Support Matters
Community investment is what turns our vision into reality.
The South Island Primary Care Society is a community-based non-profit organization. Our growth has been made possible through the generosity of local businesses, municipalities, charitable foundations, and individual donors who believe that everyone deserves access to healthcare.
Your donation directly supports:
-
Recruiting and retaining healthcare providers: Bringing more family physicians and nurse practitioners to South Vancouver Island.
-
Opening new clinics: Creating additional healthcare capacity in growing and underserved communities.
-
Protecting existing clinics: Supporting established medical practices at risk of closure and preserving access for their patients.
-
Investing in medical equipment and infrastructure: Equipping healthcare teams with the tools and facilities needed to deliver high-quality care.
-
Expanding urgent and specialized services: Improving timely access to assessment, treatment, maternity care, and essential community-based procedures.
Every new provider means more patients receiving ongoing care. Every clinic we open or sustain means more families can access healthcare in their own community.
Join Us — Be Part of the Solution
Imagine what we could accomplish if 5,000 community members gave just $10 per month.
That would generate $600,000 annually to support the recruitment of healthcare providers, clinic expansion, and improved access to primary care.
A small monthly contribution, multiplied by the power of community, can create lasting change.
We have already demonstrated what is possible. Now, we need your help to go further.
Become a monthly donor, make a one-time contribution, or partner with us as a corporate sponsor.
Together, we can build a South Vancouver Island where every person has access to healthcare when they need it.
More Clinics. More Doctors. More Access.
