We compassionately provide vital services and assistance to individuals and families that meet their basic needs and help bridge their journey to self sufficiency.
About COMMUNITY CARE - ST CATHARINES AND THOROLD
Community Care has been helping those facing hardships for 100 years within St. Catharines and 35 years in Thorold.
Through 21 programs, approximately 1,850 households are assisted monthly, including access to food security, community gardens, clothing & household goods, access to housing supports & stability, trusteeships, ID, utility, medical and dental assistance, back to school and Christmas programs.
5,000 pounds of food is distributed daily. Almost 40% of our clients are children.
Although some of our programs are delivered specifically within the confines of St. Catharines and Thorold, there are several initiatives that have grown to serve Niagara on a regional basis.
Community Care, St. Catharines & Thorold, aims to be recognized as a centre of excellence for helping people in need through the reliable delivery of core services while maintaining financial sustainability, creating community partnerships and addressing the root causes of poverty.
