Calgary Quest Children’s Society (Quest) has been a leader in special education within Calgary and the surrounding communities for over 40 years. We are a non-profit organization and registered charity dedicated to helping children, teens, and young adults with moderate to severe developmental disabilities reach their full potential. Through a continuum of specialized programs, we support individuals and families from early childhood through young adulthood, offering inclusive, individualized, and evidence-based services that empower each person to learn, grow, and thrive.
Our programs include:
Calgary Quest SchoolFor students aged 6–20, Quest School offers specialized education through small, ability-based classrooms, each supported by a certified teacher, instructional assistants, and a multidisciplinary therapy team. Programming focuses on core developmental areas including communication, life skills, self-help, fine motor development, social skills, and emotional regulation delivered through a modified Alberta curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student. Our school operates across two campuses, creating safe, supportive environments where relationships and individualized growth are prioritized. As applicable, students may graduate with a Certificate of High School Completion, recognizing their unique achievements.
Centre for Opportunity (CFO)The CFO supports young adults aged 18–28 in their transition to greater independence, bridging the gap between school and adulthood. Through structured, group-based learning and community engagement, participants build essential life skills, develop confidence, and explore personal pathways beyond school. Unlike traditional day programs, the CFO emphasizes education, skill development, and empowerment, helping each participant prepare for meaningful adult lives.
Quest Adventure CampOur inclusive summer camp provides a safe, engaging, and fun experience for children and youth with disabilities, up to age 19. With weekly themes and structured activities, campers build friendships, practice life skills, and enjoy new adventures in a supportive environment.
Before and After CareWe offer year-round before-and-after school programming, including full-day care on school holidays. This service provides families with consistent, high-quality care and ensures continuity for students in a familiar, supportive setting.
At Calgary Quest, we believe every child and young adult deserves access to the right support, at the right time, in the right environment. With your support, we can continue building brighter futures, together.
