Nature Québec’s role is to foster conservation and protection of the environment, and to promote sustainable development. Our work is guided by the principle strategic objectives of the World Conservation Union (WCU):
- Preserve biodiversity;
- Maintain healthy ecosystems;
- Promote sustainable development.
Nature Québec’s goal is to build public awareness and civic engagement in support of adopting these principles, and to inform our private and public institutions. Positions we take on environmental and policy issues are always fully supported by thorough research, and incorporate viable solutions. We deliver education programs, awareness campaigns, public consultations, and media relations, to encourage the public support necessary to accomplish our objectives.
