Wagner Natural Area Society serves to protect, maintain and preserve the provincially designated Wagner Natural Area, located in Parkland County between Edmonton and Spruce Grove, Alberta. The 250 hectares of groundwater-fed marl ponds, treed fens and other habitats contain rare and diverse vegetation and wildlife communities characteristic of boreal forest.
The Society's staff and volunteers implement educational/outreach programs, conduct site management, and facilitate and collaborate on scientific research. We strive to develop the financial, technical and human capacity to ensure our long-term ability to be Steward of the Natural Area landscape.
