The Nova Scotia Hospice Palliative Care Association (NSHPCA) provides leadership in hospice, palliative care, grief, and emotional wellness across Nova Scotia. While we do not operate or provide hospice beds, we support communities through education, programs, advocacy, and system-level collaboration that strengthen care across the province.

Our work focuses on advancing equitable, compassionate palliative care and grief support by connecting communities, elevating lived experience, building shared knowledge, and helping shape policy and practice to improve outcomes for individuals and families.

We work closely with local, community-based Hospice/Palliative Care service organizations to share up-to-date information, ensuring that individuals and families receive the best possible care.

NSHPCA relies on donations to expand its educational initiatives, enhance public awareness, and fund critical programs that support emotional wellness, grief care, and advocacy efforts. Contributions help us support caregivers, develop accessible resources, and strengthen palliative care networks across the province.

Our vision is for all people in Nova Scotia  to be able to access compassionate, culturally responsive palliative care and grief support when and where they need it.
