Our Mission
Sanctuary of Peace, formerly known as Inner City Pastoral Ministry or ICPM, is an interdenominational Christian Ministry of Presence. In partnership with the community and guided by the Spirit of God, we walk with the people of the Inner City of Edmonton. We provide a worship service every Sunday at 9:15 a.m. at the Bissell East building with a lunch following the service provided by volunteers from 90+ churches and groups from Edmonton and area. We also provide personal pastoral visits and activities during the week, including men's and women's spirituality groups and retreats. We have a special focus on building relationships and engaging with the Indigenous community in the inner city.
The focus of our ministry is simple: "we go where the people are".
