Our Mission
About the Face the Future Foundation:
Since 1996, our mission has been to provide relief and treatment of facial disfigurement for disadvantaged children in parts of the world where advanced levels of care is not available to them. These disfigurements can be due to congenital birth defects, trauma, burns, post-tumor ablation, cancer, violence or war.
Surgical missions serve more than one purpose, as new concepts in paediatric surgical treatment are openly shared with our hosts; professional best practices are taught, benefitting surgeons and their patients long after the mission team has left. Ninety percent of every dollar we raise supports our missions.
About FACE THE FUTURE FOUNDATION
Missions are affiliated at all times with state-sponsored institutions and are led by foremost Western medical professionals, all of whom volunteer their time and expertise. Surgical volunteers treat one face, one child at a time, despite the complexity of the case or the limitations that local conditions might place upon them.
