Our Mission

Victim Services of Renfrew County is a non-profit volunteer based organization which assists police and fire services in providing 24/7 emotional and practical assistance to people who have experienced a crime, tragic life event or disaster.

About VICTIM SERVICES OF RENFREW COUNTY INC.

VS of RC is a registered charitable organization that was founded in 2001. We are the only 24/7 crisis response service covering Renfrew County and Algonquin Park. Our Staff & Volunteer Crisis Responders are available to provide immediate critical care services to those victimized by:

-homicides

-suicides

-sudden deaths

-motor vehicle & workplace fatalites

-domestic violence

-sexual violence

-elder abuse

-human trafficking

-hate crimes

-break & enters

-armed robberies

-fire

-community disasters

-any crime/tragedy

Support can be provided on-scene or by telephone intervention.

Our services include:

-emotional and practical support

-information/resources

-safety planning

-referrals to community-based services

-Victim Quick Response Program (limited financial assistance to eligible victims of serious violent crime)

-public education on trauma/victims' issues

-volunteer training, recogniton & support program.
