Delivering a brighter future for Canadian kids

The Canada Post Community Foundation for Children makes a real difference in the lives of children and youth in communities across Canada by helping local organizations, registered charities and schools.

In 2019, 118 organizations delivering essential programs for children and youth shared almost $1.2 million in funding from the Canada Post Community Foundation for Children. All across Canada, these 118 organizations benefited from your support and the generosity of Canadians who donated funds to the Foundation in 2018 through our annual in-store campaign, special Foundation stamp and local fundraisers.

In the past eight years, the Foundation has provided more than $8 million to build libraries, create sports and breakfast programs, and ensure children have access to crisis lines, anti-bullying and mental health initiatives, special needs clinics and life-skills training. The money has helped promote physical activity and play for kids of all abilities and helped at-risk youth gain a better understanding of how education is vital to their future.

What People Are Saying

"Thanks to the Foundation, Kids Help Phone is always open, providing a safe and trusted place for young people in any moment of crisis or need. Together, we ensure young people – including those in the most remote communities – can access the support they need, in the way they need it most. "

— Kids Help Phone

"The grant we received allows us to bring extra campers to summer camp. This support allowed us to run the camp and give the kids an opportunity to build self-confidence and self-esteem in a fun and natural environment."

— Zajac Ranch for Children

"Your support allowed more children and youth to develop their potential, to be just like all other children. Your grant allowed us to focus on a child’s ability and not on what they are unable to accomplish. "
