A Place of Beauty and Sustenance where Nature gives strength to Mind, Body and Soul
The Ignatius Jesuit Centre is a place of peace that welcomes a global community of people who seek to integrate their inner and outer life with God and with all Creation.
Our Centre cultivates spiritual and ecological engagement through care of person and land with Loyola House retreats, Ignatius Farm and our Old-Growth Forest project.
What People Are Saying
"I have always been passionate about the environment and sustainability. During a talk, “Introduction to Eco-Theology” given by Dr. Stephen Scharper, he mentioned the work the Centre does to teach organic farming techniques and conserve forested areas … through workshops and retreats."
— University student seeking a charitable focus for Lenten alms-giving
"We thoroughly enjoyed the whole space: the sacredness of it, ambience and grounds; and last but not least, the delicious meals!"
— Community event organizer
"We’ve had such a rare inspiring & worshipful day. There are conservation efforts in Toronto as well but I know it wouldn’t be the same. We will still participate in them with the Ignatius spirit!"
— Ruth Wong, Toronto Chinese Baptist Church, youth group facilitator
"As someone who has had religion used as an excuse to use hate & violence against me, I had lost hope that I could find community in a spiritual group. Wonderful to see that there is hope."
— Ignatian Spirituality Project participant
"The effect of Ignatius Jesuit Centre on my well-being has been immeasurable. For me, it is truly a spiritual refuge - a place where I feel wonderfully at home and at peace. It has offered me and a great many others a place to reflect, pray and meditate, away from it all - a place to feel at one."
