Mission Interaction Famille Hochelaga-Maisonneuve is a place of living and belonging for families in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighborhood. This place emphasizes mutual support, respect, and solidarity among families. Families are welcome and invited to participate in a learning process aimed at achieving greater autonomy and transforming their living conditions. The main objectives are to support families in their daily lives, encourage them in their initiatives, and offer guidance.
Community Profile Interaction Famille opens its doors to families living in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighborhood of Montreal. However, we also welcome families living outside the neighborhood. Having a respite center on site allows us to reach parents of children aged 0 to 5 years old. One of the organization's goals is to support, accompany, and intervene with families experiencing the following vulnerability factors: Poverty Social isolation ,Low parental education Single parenthood, Domestic violence ,Mental health issues, Alcoholism, Drug addiction ,Newcomers ,Children with difficult temperaments experiencing neglect
Individual Support: Our counselors provide individual support focused on the individual's needs, helping to improve the quality of life within your family. Adult Program: To help expand their network, various activities (e.g., lunch and learns, parent-child lunches, group cooking workshops, Méli-Mélo workshops, apple picking, sugar shacks, etc.) are organized and led by our counselors in collaboration with members. Children Program: Our respite center (Les Enfants de Macadam) is open to children ages 0 to 5 with an educational program focused on the needs of the child and the five spheres of development. Day Camp: We also organize a 7- to 8-week day camp every summer for children ages 4 to 6 to prepare them for school.
