Who We Are
The Interior Women’s Centre Society (IWCS) is a women-led, grassroots organization based in British Columbia’s Interior region. We exist to create safe, inclusive spaces where women, girls, and femme-identifying individuals can heal, grow, and belong.
Founded on lived experience, the Centre was built by women who intimately understand the barriers facing our communities, economic hardship, isolation, violence, and limited access to equitable opportunities. From this shared understanding, we envisioned something different: not just a service hub, but a living network of support, connection, and empowerment. A space where every woman, no matter their walk of life, can access community, free activities and a variety of services that will support their mental wellbeing.
Our Mission
To empower women to be safe, supported, and independent through holistic programs that nurture wellbeing, financial literacy, advocacy, and leadership
Our Vision
We provide safe spaces, resources, and advocacy so that every woman in our community can heal, grow, and blossom
We imagine a future where women across Western Canada live free from violence, oppression, and limitation, supported by a network of women's resource centres that champion equity, dignity, and hope.
