ICC is dedicated to changing lives by bringing love, hope and opportunity to abandoned children with disabilities in China.
Our Story
International China Concern (ICC), a Christian non-profit organization, was founded in 1993 by David Gotts after seeing firsthand the suffering of Chinese children with disabilities who had been abandoned and left without hope in desperate conditions.
In the beginning, ICC sent short-term teams into China to provide care in government welfare centres. Later, we established permanent locations which provide full-time family-style care for children in Changsha and Hengyang in Hunan Province.
Our Vision and Mission
Give Lives to the most vulnerable children in China.
End Abandonment by educating and supporting families raising children or young adults who have a disability.
Share Values with local staff and volunteers.
By partnering with the Chinese government, our reputable relationships in China allow us to not only provide homes and services to China's abandoned children with disabilities, but also sustainably empower and train Chinese nationals to transform communities and change attitudes.
Ways to Get Involved
Sponsor a child, and provide a stable home, special education, medical care, and more for $40 CAD/month.
Donate, and give love, hope and opportunity!
Walk the Wall with us by participating in a 5-10K Walkathon with your own fundraising campaign. (Please find more information in the next tab.)
Volunteer by travelling to our homes in China, and making an impact in a short-term or long-term team.
