Flood Relief 2024

Continuous heavy rains over the past 4 years, has caused the water level of Lake Tanganyika to rise above the 100 year high mark. All houses in the city of Uvira, eastern DRC that were within 100 meters of the lake, are essentially in the lake now. The water has caused more than 190 houses, built with mud bricks to collapse, leaving many families without basic shelter.

We need your help to provide shelter to some of the families by purchasing 25x25 ft tarps for $40 each that can be used as temporary housing to keep the continuing rain out. Not much, but at least a dry place to huddle away from the continuous downpour.

This tragedy is impacting the people of Uvira in DRC (Congo), that is already one of the poorest countries in the world. They have just come out of the horror of an Ebola outbreak, COVID-19, a surge in Malaria, and continuous military conflict.

Please join us to provide some relief for these desperate people who are suffering so much.
