The Intersections Digital Media Workshop is a hybrid (virtual and on site) training and mentorship program for youth (19 years to 30 years old) from marginalized and equity-deserving communities: Indigenous, Black, and other racialized groups, newcomers, LGBTQ2+ individuals, persons with disabilities, and women.
Intersections Digital Media Workshop established 15 years ago continues to play a critical role in addressing these inequities by providing on location filmmaking experience, essential software training, industry-recognized certifications, and meaningful mentorship from professionals. Through its targeted support, the program empowers youth with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to access entry-level roles in film, television, and digital media—helping to build a more diverse, inclusive, and representative workforce in BC.'s creative economy.
