IRSA PEI's mandate is to provide new immigrants to PEI with short-term settlement services as well as inclusion and integration programs.
About Our Charity
IRSA PEI offers services to newcomers in partnership with many agencies, government departments, and community organizations on PEI.
Settlement services are offered to clients in an inclusive manner, respectful of the diversity of backgrounds and cultures. We promote the advancement and full and active integration of newcomers into PEI and Canadian life. Staff develop and collaborate with community partners on initiatives to support immigrant inclusion.
IRSA PEI works to increase the capacity of PEI communities to welcome, understand, respect, and celebrate newcomers of all ages.
Donations
Donations to IRSA PEI are directed to urgent needs of refugee families, recent immigrants, and special programming.
We currently are accepting donations for 3 ongoing projects. Our General Fund is utilized to assist newcomers families who may face unexpected short term financial difficulties. Our Refugee Fund is designed to offer financial support to individuals and families who arrive in PEI as Government Assisted Refugees and from time to time will require additional financial supports as they integrate into their new home. And our new Scholarship Fund will be used to assist newcomer students attending post-secondary institutions in Prince Edward Island.
