Our Mission:

ArtSpring (The Island Arts Centre Society) supports the advancement of the performing, visual and creative arts and crafts on Salt Spring Island. We operate, maintain, and promote ArtSpring as a facility comprised of a theatre, gallery, display space and workshop space for those engaged in the performing, visual and creative arts and crafts as well as for other groups and individuals engaged in activities of community benefit. Additionally we develop and execute public education to support the performing, visual and creative arts and crafts. Through our ArtSpring Presents series we bring high quality British Columbian, Canadian, and international performing artists to Salt Spring audiences by presenting their music, dance, theatre and other professional performances.

Your Donation:

Your General donation will be used to maintain and upgrade the well-used ArtSpring facilities. In a typical year ArtSpring hosts 250 events that attract over 30,000 people, supported by over 200 volunteers. The majority of these events are presented by Salt Springers for the benefit of our community. This includes the 40 events either created and presented by the schools and other youth, or programs and workshops that ArtSpring Presents for the schools and youth. As ArtSpring moves through its 20th year maintenance and upgrades become more costly. Your generous contribution helps keep the lights on so ArtSpring can continue offering a professional facility with professional staffing for the community to create, produce, and share their artistic endeavours.

If you choose to donate to our Theatre Angel campaign, you will be joining a unique community of donors who help people with barriers access complimentary tickets to ArtSpring Presents performances. ArtSpring is connecting with local community groups to distribute these tickets.
