Founded in 1989, Jazz Winnipeg is a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to advancing jazz and creative music through live performance, artist development, education and community engagement.
Best known for the annual TD Winnipeg International Jazz Festival, Jazz Winnipeg presents world-class Canadian and international artists alongside Manitoba musicians while keeping live music accessible through extensive free programming in the heart of downtown Winnipeg.
Our work continues throughout the year. Through Jazz at the Fort Garry Hotel, the Canadian Jazz Summit, youth and emerging-artist initiatives, and artist-development opportunities at home and abroad, we create spaces for musicians to perform, learn, collaborate and build sustainable careers.
We believe Manitoba artists deserve opportunities on stages here at home and around the world. We also believe young people should be able to experience, learn and make music regardless of their income or postal code.
At the 2026 Winnipeg International Jazz Festival, more than 24,000 people experienced six days of live music, including 31 free performances at Old Market Square. The festival presented 41 Manitoba artists, supported by 268 volunteers contributing more than 2,700 hours.
